Los Angeles-based six-piece rock outfit Ruby Layne & The Wicked Divine combines vintage classic rock tones with a modern contemporary approach to songwriting.

After breaking ground with her eponymous debut EP, Ruby Layne formed the Wicked Divine to harness to take her sound to the next level. Inspired by the protest songs of eras past, Layne has positioned herself as the mouthpiece of the harbinger of a new era of political rock in a time that so desperately needs it. Layne’s rally cry is bolstered by intricate arrangements that make the most of the bands intricate compositional layering.

Their upcoming debut album, After the Apocalypse, invokes the sonic tendencies of the classic rock era paired with angsty, new-wave melodies, which are used to lyrically explore a post-apocalyptic scenario and the fears and uncertainties that would accompany it.
